![]() There's a new beta program just beginning but the NDA keeps me from saying anything more.Īs opposed to others, I like Polycom hardware and have been using their provisioning scheme for years. In fact, they were probably obligated to return the hardware. Whoever you bought them from should have advised you. This is how Polycom keeps the beta devices from simply being resold into the open market. I'm holding it pending the beta of the camera module. I have a VVX-500 in this very state right now. Once the product goes into release you cannot load the release code. Beta devices are shipped to users with locked boot roms that cannot be upgraded.Īlso, they will only load firmware that is also indicated as beta. I've participated in a few Polycom beta cycles. No matter what bootROM I try it says "Error updating bootROM!" Not sure how I set it up for voicemail? I don't really need it to show the # of messages but not sure how to make this all work? Thanks! On the Polycom web interface it just says Subscriber, callback type etc. ![]() Second question (I'll post in another forum if I don't get replies here) is how do I set up this phone for Anveo voicemail? If I press messages it goes to a Message Center and shows number of new, urgent etc. Anyone have any idea why I can't seem to upgrade them to any firmware version? And if they work right now is there any need to upgrade anyway? The phones work on the current versions they have but not sure if they should be upgraded to the newer versions. That's typically on the newer versions like 4.0.2 Or it downloads 57% or so from FTP or TFTP and then says the same message that it's not compatible which it does more on lower versions like 3.2.3. It either downloads the whole sip.ld file then says something like "This application sip.ld is not compatible with this device" even though Polycom says it is. No matter what firmware version I try to upgrade it to, it never works. When I boot it up it shows another version I think 3.0.4. Not sure the diff as it shows different numbers in different places. ![]() They both came with different firmware's installed on them. I just bought 2 used Polycom IP 550 phones to use with Anveo.
